Collect
We take in old and broken bikes from neighbors, local shops, and police auctions. If it can roll again, we don’t let it get scrapped.
A community bicycle nonprofit
Success Cycles collects donated bicycles, repairs them, and gives them away for free to people who need a reliable way to get around.
The mission
For someone without a car, a working bike can be the difference between making it to a job interview and missing it. It’s a way to get to a shelter, a clinic, or a shift without having to wait on anyone else.
We don’t think dependable transportation should be a privilege. So we take in bikes other people would throw out, get them running again, and pass them on to someone who needs one.
How it works
We take in old and broken bikes from neighbors, local shops, and police auctions. If it can roll again, we don’t let it get scrapped.
Volunteers clean, repair, and safety-check every bike. New tubes, trued wheels, and working brakes, until it’s actually ready for the road.
Each bike goes out with a lock, lights, and a helmet, free of charge, through the shelters and community partners we work with.
The impact
“The bus stopped running before my shift ended. The bike is how I keep this job.” A rider in the program
Who we serve
Get involved
Have a bike gathering dust in the garage? Even a broken one can be fixed up and put to use. We can arrange a pickup or a drop-off.
No experience needed. We’ll show you how to fix bikes, and you’ll help get them out the door and onto the road.
Locks, lights, helmets, tubes, and cables add up. A small donation helps cover the parts that get a bike safely on the road.
